Ryan Reynolds will be looking for evidence

Image After the deal between the Disney and Fox corporations became known, the future of many 20th Century Fox film projects was in doubt, causing a lot of talk, rumor and controversy. However, the studio management can be sure of one thing: her collaboration with Ryan Reynolds will continue. As the site Deadline found out, the actor's production company Maximum Effort has signed a three-year contract with the major, and their first joint project under this agreement will be the adaptation of the Hasbro board game "Clue".

The studio 20th Century Fox announced the start of work on the adaptation two years ago. Thanks to Reynolds, the project is finally one step closer to implementation. Ryan will not only take over the production functions, but will also play one of the main roles in the film. Moreover, the leadership of the major wants to bring Deadpool writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick to work on the detective story.

The original game takes place in a mansion where guests are gathering. When the owner of the house is killed, those present are forced to start an investigation in order to find the culprit. However, this is not easy to do, since each of the guests had a motive, an opportunity and their own skeleton in the closet. Earlier it was reported that the studio does not intend to limit itself to one mansion as a setting and wants to get a movie with elements of action and adventure at the end.

The game "Clue" was already adapted for large screens in 1985. The cast of the film of the same name includes Tim Curry, Madeline Kahn, Christopher Lloyd and Michael McKean. Hopefully, the new version, like Murder on the Orient Express, will present the audience with an equally stellar team.
