Hollywood is preparing a remake of the Dragon's Coming

Image Last week marked the forty-five years since the death of the legendary actor and martial artist Bruce Lee. Today, news came from Hollywood that will surely cause a mixed reaction from fans of the Little Dragon. According to Deadline, Warner Bros. begins work on a remake of Lee's last completed film, Entering the Dragon.

In the film by Robert Claus, Bruce played a Shaolin monk who agreed to take part in a fighting tournament on a secluded island to avenge his sister's death and destroy the criminal empire of the drug dealer Khan. The action movie premiered on July 26, 1973, six days after Lee's tragic death.

The film received rave reviews in the press and earned at least $ 90 million at the worldwide box office on a budget of $ 850,000. In 2004, the Library of Congress in the United States entered "The Dragon Exit" on the National Register of films of special cultural and historical significance.

Warner Bros. has long been hatching the idea of creating a remake of the 1973 movie hit: in different years Spike Lee and Brett Ratner applied for the director's chair of the film. This time, WB bosses are in talks with David Leitch, whose track record includes action films such as John Wick, Blasting Blonde and Deadpool 2.
