Antoine Fuqua dives into the world of gangsters

Image After the Western "The Magnificent Seven" failed to recoup its $ 90 million budget, Antoine Fuqua decided to return to the crown genre of crime drama. According to Deadline, the renowned director will take part in two film projects about the world of organized crime.

First, Fukua agreed to direct the long-suffering Scarface remake. Two years ago, Antoine had already sat down at the negotiating table with the management of the Universal studio. When the discussion of the start of filming reached a dead end, the director preferred to start creating a sequel to The Great Equalizer. The director's chair for Scarfaces was taken over by David Eyre, but he unexpectedly left the project last summer. Universal bosses chose to return to Fukua's candidacy, since the director has finally cleared up a bit of a busy work schedule.

Secondly, Antoine accepted the invitation to lead the filming of the crime drama "The Street". According to preliminary information, the film will take place in New York and Shanghai. The script was written by the famous writer Nicholas Pileggi, who contributed to The Nice Guys and The Casino.
