There is never too much king

Image The greatest popularity of Stephen King was brought by his novels, but sometimes the King of Horrors tried his hand at poetry. And now one of his works in verse will receive a television adaptation.

Deadline has learned that Cedar Park Entertainment has acquired the rights to adapt The Temple of Bones poem. It was written by King back in the 60s and was forgotten for many years, but already in the new millennium, the writer remembered about it and decided to recreate it from memory. “Temple of Bones” was first published in one of the issues of Playboy magazine, and in 2015 it was included in the collection “The Shop of Bad Dreams”.

The story is about an adventurer who organized an expedition into the jungle, the purpose of which was to find the mythical Temple of Bones. During the trip, they learned a secret that was not intended for prying eyes, and out of 32 people only three survived. The story in the poem is told from the perspective of one of the survivors, reminiscing in a bar in exchange for a drink.

The new series is being led by Chris Long, who last year had a hand in the film adaptation of Mister Mercedes, and Suicide Squad director David Eyre.
