Jeffrey Dean Morgan won't be allowed to celebrate

Image At Comic-Con last summer, actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan hinted to comic book fans that he might play Batman in The Flash's solo album. It seems that after Zack Snyder leaves his post as curator of the DCU, the actor's dream will remain unrealizable.

Recall that Morgan embodied the image of the Dark Knight's father in Snyder's film Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. The Flash was originally supposed to be based on the famous Flashpoint comic strip, in which Thomas Wayne was hiding behind the Batman mask. Apparently, over the past year, Warner Bros. seriously redrew her plans for a solo album by Barry Allen.

Morgan arrived at Comic-Con with the crew of the hit zombie drama The Walking Dead and, of course, could not resist the temptation to talk about his role in the DC Cinematic Universe.

I keep talking to reporters about Flashpoint in the hope that Warner Bros. executives will hear me, - said the actor in an interview with MTV. -Before it seemed to me that they could well launch the film adaptation of this comic. But now Zach's role in the MCU has changed, and I've heard rumors that the studio bosses want to film the standard Flash backstory. "

Although the WB brought the blockbusters Aquaman, Wonder Woman 2 and Shazam to Comic-Con, the fate of The Flash and many of the studio's other comic books remains in limbo.
