Just a month ago, it was revealed that Joe Wright ("Dark Times") will lead the filming of the thriller "Woman at the Window" for Fox 2000, and now the first name has appeared in the cast. According to Deadline, Amy Adams will star in the film.The project will be based on AJ Finn's bestseller of the same name, which was published only in January, but has already won readers from all over the world. The book has sold more than one million copies in the United States and has been translated into more than 30 languages to date. At the center of the events of the literary original is the child psychologist Anna Fox, who suffers from agoraphobia and has not left her apartment for several months. Instead, she drinks wine (sometimes too much), watches old movies, remembers happy times, and enjoys watching neighbors. One day an ideal-looking Russell family moves into the house opposite, but one night Anna sees something that was not intended for prying eyes, and her life gets out of control. "The Woman at the Window" is reminiscent of a mix between "Gone Girl" and "The Girl on the Train", and there is clearly a connection with Hitchcock's "Window to the Courtyard." However, Fox 2000 has put together a truly talented team, which includes not only Wright and Adams, but also writer Tracy Letts ("August"), so that even from the most original idea they can create an exciting thriller.
