D. J. Caruso will tell a scary story
A full-length film based on the popular TV series of the 90s "Are You Afraid of the Dark?" Nickelodeon has finally found a director. According to the BloodyDisgusting portal, the director's chair of the project was taken by DJ Caruso.According to the film's screenwriter Gary Doberman (It, The Curse of the Nun), their project "will respect the dark, eerie atmosphere of the show." The plot will center on a group of teenagers who call themselves the Midnight Society. Every week, in a secret place in the forest, one of the participants tells the company a horror story based on fairy tales and urban legends.
