The company "Soyuzmultfilm" is ready to deal another blow to the psyche of children and childhood memories of their parents. Despite the failure of the recent reboot of the animated series about Prostokvashino, the heads of the Moscow studio did not abandon plans for a remake of another hit of Soviet animation. This time "Soyuzmultfilm" will modernize the story of the adventures of Kesha the parrot.|
"We are making a pilot episode," Soyuzmultfilm board chairman Yuliana Slashcheva announced to RBC. -If it works out, we'll start production of a series, and then a full-length film. One of the ideas is to make a modern stand-up out of Kesha. He, in fact, has always been like this”.
The script of the pilot episode was written by the author of the plot of the original cartoon, Alexander Kurlyandsky. The Soyuzmultfilm management also expects to involve Gennady Khazanov, who voiced Kesha in the first three issues of The Return of the Prodigal Parrot, to work on the project.
Kesha's first appearance on television took place back in 1984. The cartoon was so popular with viewers that by the end of the 80s the Soyuzmultfilms managed to shoot two more stories about the adventures of an eccentric parrot. At the beginning of the 21st century, domestic animators gave the franchise a new lease on life. From 2002 to 2006, three more short films about Kesh were released, in which the parrot was voiced by Igor Khristenko.
