Meryl Streep will learn how to launder money
Earlier this year, her role as the owner of The Washington Post in the political thriller The Secret Dossier earned the gorgeous Meryl Streep her 21st Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Award nomination. As it became known to The Hollywood Reporter, following the top-secret Pentagon documents, the Oscar record holder for the number of acting nominations will study the so-called Panama Archives.Meryl has agreed to star in Steven Soderbergh's Laundry. The plot of the film will be based on the book of Pulitzer Prize winner Jake Bernstein "A World of Mysteries", and it is being adapted for the big screen by the experienced Hollywood screenwriter Scott Z. Burns ("The Bourne Ultimatum", "Race of the Century"). The biographical drama will tell the audience about the employees of the German newspaper Suddeutsche Zeitung, who got hold of confidential documents of the Panamanian law firm Mossack Fonseca, containing information about financial fraud of large corporations and famous politicians.  Information about Streep's character is kept secret. Meryl's company in the cast of the film may include Gary Oldman and Antonio Banderas, who are still in preliminary negotiations with Soderbergh.  The star-studded line-up of the film project has already attracted attention to Laundry from leading Hollywood studios and online services.
