King's Novel ”Almost Like a Buick” will be filmed
2017 has rightfully become the year of the revival of Stephen King's cult works. It, Gerald's Game, and 1922, all of these adaptations saw the light of day last year and won over the Horror King fans. 2019 again promises to fire a powerful salvo of horror. As it became known to the publication Deadline, the film From a Buick 8 ("Almost like a Buick"), based on King's novel of the same name, went into production.The director and screenwriter of the film will be William Brent Bell, well-known to horror fans, who gained popularity thanks to the hit "Doll". Other, no less bloody, works of the director (a tape about a video game that, in the tradition of "The Ring", kills everyone who played it, "Lost", "Obsessed" and the lycanthrope-horror "Werewolf") also earned a good reputation in this niche, so you don't have to worry about the quality of the upcoming film adaptation.  The action "Almost like a Buick" will unfold in the town of Statler, Pennsylvania, where the local police for some reason keep in the garage a mysterious 1954 Buick Roadmaster for more than twenty tapes. But when the settlement is embraced by strange and supernatural events, it turns out that the Buick is not a car at all, but a door to another dimension ...
