WB sheds light on the assassination of Kennedy's mistress

Image The mysterious curse of the Kennedy clan continues to thrill the hearts and minds of artists. According to Deadline, the television arm of Warner Bros. acquired the rights to film the novel "Mary's Mosaic" by Peter Jenny, which tells about the mysterious murder of the mistress of US President John F. Kennedy.

The main heroine of the book is the American artist Mary Pinshaw-Meyer. In 1945, a native of New York City married World War II veteran Cord Meyer. A few years later, her husband joined the ranks of the CIA and began to rapidly advance in service. In 1954, the Meyers met Senator John F. Kennedy and his wife Jacqueline.

Two years later, the Meyers experienced a terrible tragedy when their nine-year-old son was hit and killed by a car. In family relations there was a discord, and in 1958 Mary filed for divorce. Without even knowing it, she made a lot of trouble on her head. Kord held a rather important post, and therefore the CIA established surveillance of his ex-wife, who could give the press any secrets of the federal agency. In 1961, fate brought Mary together with John F. Kennedy, who took office as President of the United States. According to rumors, a passionate romance soon broke out between the artist and the loving head of state.

According to some sources, Mary was known as an ardent pacifist, and it was she who prompted Kennedy to think about the idea of nuclear disarmament. The relationship between Pinshaw-Meyer and the President of the United States was short-lived: on November 22, 1963, John was shot and killed during a visit to Dallas. Mary, of course, was one of those Americans who were not satisfied with the conclusions of the commission to investigate the murder of the head of state.

Just three weeks after the publication of the Warren Commission's report, John F. Kennedy's mistress was found shot to death near her Washington home. The author of Mary's Mosaic makes some strong case for the unsolved murder of the artist as the work of CIA agents. So, Cord Meyer was notified of Mary's death even before the police identified her body.

According to preliminary data, Jenny's book will be filmed in a mini-series format. Oscar-winning David Seidler (The King's Speech) will adapt the literary source.
