Reynolds will be Jackson's bodyguard again
Back in May of this year, we reported that Millennium Films had decided to shoot a sequel to the action movie Killer's Bodyguard. The presentation of the project took place at the 71st Cannes International Film Festival, where the first promo posters with the subtitle "The Bodyguard of the Killer's Wife" were noticed. Although the title of the sequel gave a hint of the return of several heroes of the first part, the management of Millennium Films chose to keep the intrigue. Fans of the original had to wait six months before the studio finally officially announced the lineup of the project.The main character of "The Hitman's Bodyguard" was security expert Michael Bryce (Ryan Reynolds), who had to transport his nemesis from Manchester to The Hague, the elite hitman Darius Kinkade (Samuel L. Jackson). The film received mixed reviews in the press, but earned more than $ 176 million at the box office, more than recouping its production budget. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Millennium Films managed to retain the core crew of the first installment, including screenwriter Tom O'Connor and director Patrick Hughes. Moreover, Ryan Reynolds, Samuel L. Jackson and Salma Hayek will return to familiar characters in the sequel. This time, Bryce decides to finally retire, but at the last moment he still agrees to help the Kincaid couple in their mission to save the old woman of Europe.
