McAvoy wants more sequels to Invincible
Thriller Glass, scheduled for release in January 2019, is a sequel to both Invincible and Split. Shyamalan finally decided to reshape the world he created back in 2001. But will it all end with a trilogy, or is there something else in store for his characters and their universe? If James McAvoy insists on his own, then we will not escape the continuation. Although Shyamalan has his own opinion on this matter, writes Movieweb.Given the success of last year's Split, which turned out to be a kind of sequel to Invincible, Glass became one of the most anticipated films of the next year. Franchises are in vogue in Hollywood right now, and while we haven't yet seen the Glass trailer (which will likely be shown at the upcoming San Diego Comic-Con), a future franchise is under consideration. James McAvoy, who played Kevin in Split, said in a recent interview:I can't speak for Knight ... I wish I had more. I think there is great potential in the images he created and in the very understanding of what a superhero or a villain is. ”  James McAvoy, as we can see, will be infinitely happy to continue Kevin's exploration in this universe, but in the end everything depends on Shyamalan. When asked the same thing, the director was less optimistic:“How about not answering this question at all? There is simply no good answer to it. Look, I have two new ideas for films. "Glass" is my only project related to another, so I'm far from producing sequels. I enjoy working with everything new and trying new colors - this is the best answer to your question. ”  Perhaps Shyamalan will not want to visit this universe again after the release of "Glass", believing that this project could be a good conclusion to the trilogy. But we expect a ray of hope to shine. At one time, Knight made a number of not very successful films, but then the filmmaker returned to the right path. Hopefully, this means that in the future we will get more good pictures from him, whether they enter the universe of the "Invincible" or not.
