Fox Searchlight signed by Guillermo del Toro
After working together on the triumph of the last Oscar, the drama The Shape of Water, the renowned director and the film company agreed on further cooperation, Variety reports. Under the agreement, del Toro will be responsible for scripting, producing, directing and general supervision of new feature films for Fox Searchlight, a subsidiary of 20th Century Fox.Del Toro's new studio, which has yet to receive a name, will bring creative ideas to life and satisfy del Toro's professional ambitions. The label will be engaged in the production of projects in the genre of horror, science fiction and fantasy.
