Squared Dracula
Last summer it became known that Stephen Moffat and Mark Gatiss, who presented the audience with Sherlock with Benedict Cumberbatch, want to revive another iconic character. The duo of screenwriters were preparing a new series about Dracula for Netflix and the BBC, and now the name of the actor who will try on the image of the Count Bloodsucker has become known. According to the portal Deadline, this honor fell to the Dane Claes Bang.Until recently, Bang was known only in his homeland, but after the release of the Oscar-nominated drama "Square" and won the "Palme d'Or", the actor received several tempting offers from Hollywood producers. So, more recently he could be seen in the thriller "The Girl Who Stuck in the Web". “I'm thrilled to get the role of Dracula, especially when talented people like Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss are writing. I am happy to play a cult and mega-interesting character. Yes, he personifies evil, but at the same time, Dracula is charismatic, smart and sexy ”, - said Bang.  As with Sherlock, Dracula's season will consist of three episodes of 90 minutes and a half. The Moffat and Gateiss version takes viewers to Transylvania in 1897, where the titular character is making plans to conquer Victorian London.
