Ridley Scott's company to release a horror film about a band
Scott Free Production, Ridley Scott's production company, is working with Atlas Industries and Spin a Black Yarn to film a new novel by Birdbox author Josh Malerman, Black Mad Wheel. The screenplay for the film will be written by Barnett Brettler. The author himself will act as one of the producers.Malerman's new novel is a psychological horror story about the fictional group The Danes. The band members were able to become Detroit's favorites, but faced a creative crisis and are desperately trying to find inspiration again and write another hit that will sink into the hearts of listeners. The group will meet a mysterious American army officer who will change their lives, as well as a journey through the scorching desert. The heroes' journey will be led by frontman Philip Tonka, and this journey will drag the singer into the thick of a mysterious conspiracy.  Last December, a movie based on the plot of another Josh Malerman novel, Bird Box, starring Sandra Bullock, was released. The list of projects of the production company Scott Free Production includes such famous films as Murder on the Orient Express, Blade Runner 2049, The Martian and Team A.
