In addition, he became the only Soviet boxer to receive the Val Barker Cup, which is awarded to the most technical boxers participating in the Olympics. At the age of 37, his life was tragically cut short by a mysterious accident.

Artem Mikhalkov is known for his roles in films such as "The Barber of Siberia" and "Dukhless". The sports drama Mr. Knockout will be released in 2020.
