A young Hollywood film company, Pascal Pictures, is preparing a response to the Jurassic Park and Planet of the Apes franchises. As it became known to the publication Deadline, studio Amy Pascal ("Big Game", "Spider-Man: Homecoming") bypassed several serious competitors in the fight for the script of the sci-fi tape tentatively titled "Rod".The plot of the film was invented by the British journalist Kat Wood. The former BBC employee is already familiar with the world of cinema. In 2009 she won an award at the London Independent Film Festival for her short film Mr. Bojagi, and six years later made her big-screen debut, writing the screenplay for the fantasy film Arthur and Merlin. Representatives of Pascal Pictures are in no hurry to share the details of the plot of "Sort". At the moment, it is only known that the action of the picture will unfold in our days, and its main character will be a talented researcher who will find a way to bring one of the most ancient types of people back to life.  Rod will be Wood and Pascal's second collaboration.
