WB gathers another superhero gang
We recently reported that for a new DC-branded online service, Warner Bros. is preparing a series about the Swamp Thing, which will be the company of the Titans and the Metropolis, which is in development. As the portal Deadline found out, the WB bosses will not be limited to this, and the superhero show Doom Patrol, dedicated to the team of the same name from DC comics, will also join the list of game series presented on the DC Universe platform.The new project is being produced by Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Jeff Jones and Jeremy Carver. The latter will also write the script for the first season of the series, which will consist of 13 episodes. Previously, Carver has worked on TV projects such as Supernatural, Radio Wave, and Being Human. According to the official synopsis, Doom Patrol is a series about a group of socially rejected superheroes led by the mad scientist Niles Calder, also known as Chief. All team members received superpowers after tragic incidents that made them freaks and caused mental trauma, but thanks to Calder, the outcasts found a purpose in life: now they explore the strangest phenomena and protect the Earth from them.  Doom Patrol is a gang of freaks fighting for a world that wants nothing to do with them. They will debut for the first time in Titans, starring Bruno Bishir (The Hustlers), April Bowlby (Beautiful to Death), Jake Michaels and Dwayne Murphy (The Strain).
