This time, the former athlete will star in Killer's Game, directed by DJ Caruso (Paranoia, Taking Lives).The killer Joe Flood learns that he is terminally ill, and he has only a few months to live. The story is based on the novel of the same name by Jay Bonashig. It was first published in 1997 and received good reviews, making a film adaptation inevitable. Nevertheless, the development of the project dragged on for more than 20 years, and only now the story will finally be embodied on the screen. Several studios fought for the opportunity to shoot the film adaptation, and Wesley Snipes, Michael Keaton and Jason State were mentioned among the candidates for the main role, but the final choice of the creators fell on Dave Batista. The former bodybuilder, wrestler and world champion started his acting career quite recently, but has already managed to prove himself well. Recently Batista also announced that he decided to leave the sport and wants to devote his whole life to acting.  Dave Batista played in films such as Guardians of the Galaxy, Blade Runner 2049 and Hotel Artemis, and in each of the films he was able to show himself in a new way, which greatly delighted the fans. And although Batista does not like to be compared to Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, the former athlete, apparently, is also serious, and will appear in many more projects. Among the upcoming films, where Batista will play: "My Spy", "Stuber" and the sensational film by Denis Villeneuve "Dune".
