WB is preparing Batgirl TV series
Apparently, Warner Bros. is devoting a lot of time and energy to the DC Universe streaming service, which will launch soon. We've reported that Titans, Stargirl and Metropolis are in development, and now it's revealed that another series is being prepared in the DC television universe - Batgirl.The studio has ordered 13 episodes of the show, which will begin filming next February. At the moment, the director's chair of the series is empty, and the actress for the main role (probably Barbara Gordon) has not yet been assigned. Whether this show will close the door for the superhero in theaters is not yet clear. It is unlikely that Batgirl will appear in "Birds of Prey," since after the departure of director and screenwriter Joss Whedon, the project remained in limbo. In that case, it would be logical to send Batgirl to small screens. Perhaps DC plans to deal with this superhero in the same way as with Flash, who already has a solo series, and in the future there will be a feature film of the same name.
