Lords of the Universe Receives Iron Man Writers

Image "Masters of the Universe" has been at the initial stages of development for several years, and during this time the film crew of the project has changed several times. According to The Wrap, now the script for the film, based on the characters of the popular series of toys, will be taken by the authors of "Iron Man", Matt Holloway and Arthur Markam.

The duo will replace David S. Goyer (Man of Steel), who wrote the previous draft. It is unknown if Holloway and Markam will rewrite the script or start over, but Goyer will remain as the film's producer.

Last year, Adam and Aaron Nee took charge of the film and are reportedly still co-directors. Since then, toy maker Mattel has launched its own movie studio and struck a deal with Warner Bros to shoot a Barbie movie starring Margot Robbie. It's surprising that Sony is still on the project, but apparently Mattel is not going to take over production from them.

Hee-Man and Masters of the Universe became popular as a series of toys, and in 1983 they received a children's TV series of the same name. Four years later, a not-so-successful film was shot with Dolph Lundgren as the titular character and Frank Langella as the antagonist of Skeletor.

In addition to Iron Man, Holloway and Markam have also worked on The Punisher: War Zone, Transformers: The Last Knight, and Men in Black: International. The writers are currently working on the next film in the Transformers franchise, which will follow in the footsteps of Bumblebee, which has rekindled critical interest in the series.
