To the delight of lovers of dystopias, the fantastic thriller "Dark Reflections" is going to be released on the big screens - an adaptation of the novel of the same name by the writer Alexandra Bracken. The director's chair of the project went to Jennifer Yu, who gave movie fans two adventures of the drawn Kung Fu Panda. Mysterious Events director and producer Sean Levy is in charge of the financial part, while Chad Hodge and Bracken herself are in charge of the script.The action of the thriller will unfold in the post-apocalyptic future, where an unknown epidemic took the lives of most US residents under 18. Those children and adolescents who were spared the disease were rewarded with unusual abilities, as a result of which they became a direct threat to society and were sent to special camps. Ruby Daley (Amandla Stenberg), the main character of "Dark Reflections", does not agree with this development of events: she escapes from prison and meets on her way the same rebel fugitives. Now the girl has to find out what price she is willing to pay for freedom and whether the end always justifies the means ... In addition to Amandla Stenberg, the film will feature Mandy Moore (This Is Us), Gwendoline Christie (Star Wars: The Force Awakens), Harris Dickinson from the new crime show Trust and Patrick Gibson (OA).
