Sam Worthington will try not to go crazy
Avatar star Sam Worthington will star in an as-yet-untitled thriller from online service Netflix, Collider reports. The director's chair of the project was taken by Brad Anderson, the director of The Machinist, as well as several episodes of the series Beyond the Boundary, Titans and Almost Human. The script for the tape will be written by Alan B. McElroy, who got his hands on the Wrong Turn franchise.Worthington will play a family man who must muster up the courage and keep his sanity after his wife and daughter disappear during an ambulance visit. Production of the film is set for the end of this year, so the tape will most likely be available to watch on Netflix as early as next year. After the success of James Cameron's fantasy, the actor got the leading roles in the thriller "On the Edge" and the action-adventure film Clash of the Titans. He recently appeared in the dramas Out of Conscience and Everest, and will return to Jake Sully in all four Avatar sequels in the future, the first of which will be released on December 18, 2020.
