Wagner Moura returns to the underworld
As it became known to the Hollywood Reporter portal, the Brazilian actor Wagner Moura will play the main role in Brian De Palma's new project Sweet Vengeance ("Sweet revenge"). The first glory came to Moura after the crime drama "Elite Squad", which was followed by a role in the fantastic action movie "Elysium: Heaven is not on Earth." However, the actor gained the greatest popularity thanks to the image of the legendary Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar in the Netflix series "Husky".Sweet Vengeance is currently in preproduction. Filming is scheduled for January 2019 and will take place in Montevideo, the capital of Uruguay. The cast and plot details have yet to be revealed, but De Palma recently revealed that his film "wasinspired by two real-life murder stories."“Over the past 40 years, I have watched many television documentaries about crime. I've always wondered how crime stories are told on television, so I decided that I would do it the same way in my film. Two real cases will be taken as a basis ", - the director commented.  Sweet Vengeance will be De Palma's next project after the crime thriller Domino. The director then plans to direct the horror film Predator, inspired by the Harvey Weinstein case. As for Moura, the actor turned down the role in Wonder Woman 2 due to inconsistencies in the filming schedules of the superhero tape and his directorial debut Marighella. The actor plans to shoot a biopic about former Brazilian congressman, poet and partisan Joao Carlus Marigella, who was killed during the military dictatorial regime in 1969.
