Train to Busan will continue
The zombie virus continues its victorious march across the planet. Two years ago, South Korean director Yeon Sang-ho filmed the atmospheric horror film Train to Busan, which earned rave reviews from professional critics and loyal fans of the horror genre. As it became known to the Screen Daily, the Asian movie hit will acquire a sequel.“I am currently working on a script for the sequel to Train to Busan, which will be called the Peninsula,” Yong Sang-ho told American journalists. "Viewers will meet brand new characters and see how the virus spread throughout Korea." The main characters in the original film were the passengers of the Seoul-Busan train, who witnessed the beginning of the zombie apocalypse. According to the creator of the franchise, the sequel will add significantly in scale and entertainment. It looks like Next Entertainment World is ready to leverage the proceeds from the first installment. The first film of the film series grossed more than $ 98 million with a modest budget of $ 8.5 million.  Filming for the sequel to Train to Busan will begin next year.
