Pine wants to return to the Enterprise
We recently reported that Chris Pine and Chris Hemsworth were having trouble negotiating the filming of the upcoming Star Trek 4 with Paramount. Now their future in the sci-fi franchise is in doubt. Despite this, Pine is ready to return to the role of James Kirk for at least one more film, according to MovieWeb.The problem is, Infinity didn't have as much at the box office as the major hoped. In an effort to reallocate costs, Paramount attempted to cut fees to Pine and Hemsworth, even though their contracts were long overdue. Apparently, the studio is not ready to shell out a lot of money for two of Hollywood's most famous Chris. Until now, Pine has not commented on the situation in any way. However, at the Toronto Film Festival ahead of the premiere of his new film Outlaw King, which is due on Netflix this year, he was asked about the future of the Star Trek franchise, to which the actor replied, “I don't know. Of course I would like to come back. Let's see what happens. In the meantime, I'm waiting for a call from the studio.  Doesn't sound very encouraging. The conflict is likely more intense than previously thought. However, fans should not lose their presence of mind: Karl Urban, who played Dr. McCoy, is confident that Paramount will be able to agree with both actors, and the shooting of the sequel will go according to plan. Recall that SJ Clarkson recently took the director's chair for the tape. The details of the plot are kept secret, but it is known that viewers will see the meeting of the elder and younger Kirkov.
