The New Adventures of Hansel and Gretel
The story of Hansel and Gretel has repeatedly inspired filmmakers to create all sorts of interpretations of this fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm, giving fertile ground for imagination. Orion Pictures and Automatik Entertainment would like to present their own version, and Collider managed to find out that the filming of the project called Gretel and Hansel * will be directed by Oz Perkins, a promising director in the horror genre.Perkins made his directorial debut with the horror film February, starring Emma Roberts and Kiernan Shipka, and then directed the thriller I Am the Sweetheart Living in the House for Netflix. The script for the upcoming picture was written by Rob Hayes, but so far the details of the plot have not been disclosed. It is only known that the team of the tape is preparing a version close to the original source of the tale about a brother and sister who were kidnapped by an evil witch. Brian Kavanagh-Jones (Sinister) and Fred Berger (La La Land) will share the production of the project, and filming is set to begin this fall in Europe.  Among the most memorable adaptations of the tale of Hansel and Gretel in recent years is the film "Witch Hunters." The film was supposed to receive a sequel, but it never made it to the big screens. You can recall the films of 1987 and 2002, and the director Dwayne Journey managed to shoot his own version of the story called "The Dark Forest: Hans, Greta and the 420th Witch," where the kids did not love sweets, but marijuana.
