At the end of last year, we reported that the online service Amazon had begun creating a series about female pilots seeking participation in the Mercury 13 stellar mission. As it became known to The Tracking Board, film producers Lisa Chasin (Senna) and Bruna Papandrea (Gone Girl) are preparing their response to the streaming giant, who acquired the rights to the script for the film about the first American woman to walk into outer space.In 1978, Stanford University Ph.D. Sally Ride caught the eye of a newspaper announcing recruitment for NASA's eighth astronaut training program. Mindful of the scandal around "Mercury 13", the leaders of the space agency have finally decided to admit the fair sex for the first time. Eight thousand candidates applied for participation in the space program, of which NASA experts chose 29 men and 6 women. Sally Ride was among the lucky ones. After five years of hard training, she joined the crew of the Space Shuttle Challenger and earned the right to become the first American woman in space.  The plot of the tape with the laconic title "Ryde" was composed by a young screenwriter Christine Ver Linden, who attracted the attention of Hollywood producers at the end of last year, when one of her texts was included in the prestigious list of the best unrealized projects of the Dream Factory - The Hit List.
