Tough Love
Nostalgia for the 90s does not end, and now from cult films, Hollywood producers have switched to lesser-known films, which, nevertheless, have their fans. As the portal Deadline found out, the Universal studio is preparing a remake of the 1996 thriller "Fear". Moreover, the major has already invited Jonathan Herman (Voice of the Streets) to write the script for the project.The original film by James Foley is about the good girl Nicole, who fell in love with the bad guy David, whom the main character's father immediately takes with hostility, believing that there is something repulsive about this muscular youth with a Boston accent. At first, David behaves like a real knight, but in the end his true nature makes itself felt, and love for Nicole turns into an obsession ... Initially, Fowley's tape was positioned as "Fatal Attraction" for teenagers. The case in the film came to the beheading of dogs, murder and attempts to arrange a real bloody massacre. However, the critics did not appreciate the director's efforts, although it should be admitted that the play of young Reese Witherspoon and Mark Wahlberg was excellent.  The original Fear producer, Brian Grazer, is involved in the remake.
