Methuselah: Homecoming

Image A month ago, Michael B. Jordan helped Warner Bros. to revive the project about the biblical long-liver Methuselah - the actor not only agreed to play the main role in the film, but also took on its production. Now the film has found a director in the person of Jonathan Watts ("Spider-Man: Homecoming").

Let us remind you that Methuselah is a story about a man who had lived for more than four hundred years at the beginning of the events of the painting and gained experience and knowledge in various fields of science and culture during this time. Anthony Hopkins played Methuselah in the drama Noah, but WB intends to portray one of the forefathers of humanity from a different angle, and the project with Jordan in the title role is more like Highlander rather than a religious drama.

It is reported that Jordan and Watts intend to create a Methuselah franchise and are already looking for someone to rewrite the script for them. The author of the previous version is Tony Gilroy ("Michael Clayton"), but he was assigned to the project back in the days when WB bosses saw Tom Cruise in the image of Methuselah.

After the release of "Police Car" Jonathan Watts received a lucky ticket to the Marvel Cinematic Universe: the filmmaker has shot the new "Spider-Man" and is already preparing its sequel for the release. Methuselah will clearly add variety to Watts' track record.
