USAn Box Office has the worst result this year
The past weekend, not only once again failed to please film distributors with high fees, but also became the worst financially this year. The total box office decreased by 25% compared with the results of a week ago and amounted to only 397 million rubles. The main reasons for such sad results are the absence of high-profile novelties in the box office and the World Cup in our country, which has drawn all the attention and free time of the audience.For the third week in a row, the leading position is retained by the animated blockbuster "Incredibles 2". Viewers continue to actively attend family cartoon sessions, and over the past four days they have added 86 million rubles to the sequel about the adventures of charming superheroes. In total, Brad Bird's tape now has a total of 825 million rubles. This is one of the best results among Pixar cartoons; only Puzzle (1.07 billion rubles) managed to collect more at the box office. In addition, The Incredibles 2 was the second release this year after the sequel Deadpool, which managed to lead the USA box office for three weeks in a row.  The second line was also retained by the Gary Ross crime tape "Ocean 8" with a whole scattering of Hollywood beauties in the lead roles. Over the past weekend, the picture lost 57% of the starting fees and earned about 70 million rubles. In total, the sister of the legendary Danny Ocean and her team raised 289 million rubles in two weeks of rental, thereby making "8 Friends" the highest-grossing film in the franchise. Prior to that, the most profitable were Ocean's Thirteen Friends, which in 2007 stood at 173 million rubles.  The third place was won by the novelty of the last week - the American comedy "You Drive!". The film is based on a true story about a group of former classmates who engage in a mercilessly sophisticated version of the game of cat and mouse every year for a month, risking their own neck, work and relationships. Ed Helms, Jeremy Renner, Jon Hamm, Jake Johnson and Hannibal Beresse appeared as players on the screen, and they were accompanied by Annabelle Wallis, Isla Fisher, Rashida Jones and others. Analysts predicted the film grosses in the region of 90 million rubles, but the hooligan comedy for the premiere four days managed to collect only 65 million rubles from viewers. Critics and moviegoers are quite positive about the new product. Suddenly, they are overtaken by one of the most powerful hurricanes in history, and the heroes' romantic journey turns into a brutal struggle for survival. Shailene Woodley and Sam Claflin played the leading roles in the film. For the premiere weekend, the drama earned about 34 million rubles. Among the main advantages of the film, viewers note the excellent camera work of three-time Oscar winner Robert Richardson, but they write about the film itself that it lacks dynamics and drama.
