Lars von Trier is breaking the rules again
The new film by Lars von Trier "The House That Jack Built", having successfully shocked the audience in Cannes, continues its scandalous march now across the USA. According to the publication Deadline, the American Film Association has complained about a violation of its rules in connection with the preliminary screenings, which were held the day before in several cinemas.The organization said that instead of the R-rated theatrical version of the film, which will start rolling on December 14, it was shown a much bloodier, director's version with no age limit. Of course, it is unlikely that many parents took their children to watch "The House That Jack Built", but the film company IFC Films, which produced the film, could face sanctions. According to the rules of the American Film Association, the rating assigned to the motion picture by the evaluation committee can be withdrawn. A distributor may also be suspended from participation in the rating system for a certain period, or any other sanctions provided for by the rules may be imposed on him. IFC Films has not made an official statement on this yet.  In the film about a serial killer and a sadist, Matt Dillon ("Rampant Fish") played the title role, the heroine Uma Thurman ("Kill Bill") later bitterly regretted that she got into Jack's van, and Riley Keough ("Logan's Luck") played a girl, who was very unlucky to go on a date with him.
