Christopher Walken and Christina Ricci to speak out against GMOs
Academy Award winner Christopher Walken and Addams Family star Christina Ricci will star in the legal drama Percy, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The director's chair is taken by Clark Johnson (Lie to Me, The Guard), and the script will be written by Garfield Lindsay Miller, familiar to our viewers from the TV series Bitten, and documentary filmmaker Hilary Pryor.Based on a true story, the film follows a 70-year-old farmer from the province of Canada (Walken) who files a lawsuit against a giant corporation after discovering genetically modified canola in his crops. Having publicly opposed the company's methods of operation, he realizes that he now represents the interests of thousands of other disenfranchised farmers around the world. Unbeknownst to him, Walken's character becomes a popular hero in a desperate battle against corporate greed. Ricci will play an anti-GMO activist.  The film also stars Roberta Maxwell (Vault 13), Adam Beach (Suicide Squad), Luke Kirby (Horse Racing) and Peter Stebbings (K-19). Filming will take place in Canada and India.
