Jeff Bridges will receive a Film Contribution Award
The 76th Golden Globe Awards will take place early next month in Los Angeles. The fight for the prizes of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association promises to be extremely intense, so many film and television experts do not undertake to predict the winners in the main categories. Jeff's debut on the big screen took place at the age of two in the film "The Company She Owns." Over the next 67 years of his distinguished film career, Bridges received five Golden Globe nominations. Unfortunately for the fans of the actor, the first three trips to get the golden statuette turned into failures. The long-awaited triumph had to wait until 2010, when Jeff won the title of best dramatic actor for his role in the musical tape "Crazy Heart".  The Cecil B. DeMille Prize has been awarded since 1952 to outstanding filmmakers who have made special contributions to the entertainment industry. During a recent presentation of applicants for the 2019 Golden Globes, representatives of the Foreign Press Association announced the establishment of a similar award for television stars. It became known last week that the new prize will be named in honor of the legendary American comedian Carol Burnett, who will become its first owner.
