A Quiet Place will receive a sequel
Last year turned out to be not very successful for Paramount: many of the studio's releases fell short of expectations, despite the big names of directors and stellar cast. Americans were disappointed with "Ghost in the Shell", "Mom!", "Suburbicon", and therefore the results of the recently released "Quiet Place" inspired the leadership of the major to new achievements.It was logical to assume that the film by John Krasinski, which grossed $ 213 million at the worldwide box office with a budget of $ 17 million, will continue. At CinemaCon, Paramount President James Gianopoulos officially confirmed that a sequel to A Quiet Place is already in development.“If I had been told five years ago that an almost silent movie with Jim from The Office would be a Paramount hit, I would say, “So I should work there”, ”Gianopoulos admitted. Recall that the action of "Quiet Place" takes place in a post-apocalyptic setting, when almost the entire population of the Earth was exterminated by blind monsters that react to any sounds and kill every living creature that they meet. Krasinski and Emily Blunt played in the film of a couple trying to protect their children and themselves and survive in this terrible world. Quiet Place made a lot of buzz with its debut at the SXSW Film Festival, and last week even surpassed blockbuster Rampage in its fight for the top spot in the North American box office.  There is no other information yet on the sequel, and it is currently unclear if Krasinski will return to work on the second part. It is noteworthy that in one of their interviews, the thriller screenwriters Brian Woods and Scott Beck noted that they have a lot of ideas for the sequel, and the choice they really have is great - you can, for example, change the location and characters, or talk about how the monsters generally appeared on Earth.
