Painting for ”a little married”. Review

Image The title of the film, which we release as "A Little Married," literally translates as "Five Years Engagement" . The reasons for this combination of circumstances will be discussed in the film, which will start at the box office on June 28th .

According to the plot of the film, the couple, who do not cherish each other, decided to postpone their wedding day, since one of the future spouses, dear Violet (Emily Blunt), was offered a "dream job" in another city. The other half - good-natured Tom (Jason Siegel) - out of greater love for her, agrees to move from the metropolis to the periphery, especially since the link promised to be short-lived. And now, time goes by, the years go by, Violet continues to cost a career, while Tom , who for a while abandoned plans to become a chef of a restaurant, starts slowly away from civilization go crazy.

ImageThe main character has a younger sister, her complete opposite. If Violet is a calm, reasonable, in general, a positive heroine in everything, then Suzie (Alison Brie) is a frivolous and impulsive girl who can easily sleep with the first person she meets. Each of them follows its own path, and who knows which one will turn out to be correct.

The idea itself is not bad, to tell about the relationship of a young couple, which is somehow hindered by something that prevents them from legitimizing their relationship, to fantasize about the correct choice, or about how our seemingly good actions do not lead to the desired result. The film, which, unfortunately, did not reach either a philosophical picture or a sparkling comedy, received a 6.8 rating on imdb and 63% positive reviews on a"tomatometer" Rotten Tomatoes .

No, everything about her is cute enough. There is even something to laugh at and the actors are just darlings, both the main and the secondary. But for some reason the film did not leave any special emotions behind. Perhaps for the reason that nothing serious or conflicting happens throughout the whole picture. The picture easily or maybe even too superficially tells about what experiences people experience during the breakup of seemingly unshakable relationships, and without a stamp in the passport of those who have long passed into family relationships. On the other hand, the film is purely a romantic comedy, so it would be foolish to expect some kind of "action" or cool special effects from it.

ImageWinner of Golden Globe Blunt and The beloved actor from the hit sitcom How I Met Your Mother Siegel is not the first time they have met on set. This is their third collaboration project after The Muppets and Gulliver's Travels. So there was no particular need for the actors to grind to each other, although at the same time sparks from their love did not fly from the screen, and together the duo looked like a married couple, living under the same roof for half a century.

One of the scriptwriters of the film was an experienced comedy writer Judd Apatow, who ate a dog on tapes about heroes who somehow didn't have everything. He is behind the film "The Forty-Year-Old Virgin" with Steve Carell, about a man who lives an ordinary but not quite fulfilling life, the picture "A Little Pregnant" with Seth Rogen and Katherine Heigl, about a girl who has already "flown", but is still very far from the realization of this fact, and now his characters turn out to be almost married.

ImageThe picture will appeal to fans of Apatow and to admirers of Nicholas Stoller's work, of course. This director previously gifted us with comedies such as Fly Away and Escape from Vegas, both with Russell Brand.

For prevention, the tape should be watched by beginners and already seasoned careerists who neglect the interests of their soulmate and do not even think about the true values in life.
