Peter Jackson will shoot The Hobbit with high speed cameras
For movieing the "Hobbit" dilogy Peter Jackson will use 30 new EPIC RED stereoscopic cameras capable of capturing 5K resolution at up to 120 frames per second. This is reported by Engadget, citing a press release from RED DIGITAL CINEMA. “This is a really fantastic camera. EPIC is not only the cutting edge of modern technology, offering unparalleled shooting quality and resolution, but also a very convenient tool for the moviemaker. Most competing cameras are massive and must be mounted on special devices, and EPIC takes us back to the days of manual cameras that do not stretch with bundles of wires, '' commented Jackson himself.
