Sergey Bodrov will turn Jeff Bridges into an exorcist
Jeff Bridges and Alex Pettyfer will star in the first Hollywood project by USA director Sergei Bodrov, The Seventh Son. This is reported by the resource Just Jared. The project is based on the work of Joseph Delaney called The Last Student. The novel is set in the 18th century, and the plot revolves around an aging exorcist and Auror (Bridges), who must find a replacement. All of his students were either insufficiently capable, or perished in battle with evil. There is one more (Pettyfer), on whom the main character is pinning all hopes. The work is based on the popular folklore idea that the seventh son of the seventh son will be endowed with supernatural powers. Shooting will start in mid-2011.
