Nikita Mikhalkov was elected chairman of the Union of Cinematographers (Topic)

Nikita Mikhalkov was re-elected as the head of the Union of Cinematographers of USA. More than 1,900 delegates to the emergency congress taking place in Moscow these days voted for his candidacy. Earlier Mikhalkov intended to leave this post and even leave the Union if the split in it is not overcome.

Recall that the famous director spoke at the congress with a number of revelations of his opponents and reported on the work done.

Mikhalkov himself proposed to elect Marlen Khutsiev as chairman of the Union of Cinematographers.
