Call Script will write new Corn Children
Screenwriter Eren Krueger, who became famous after writing the script for the American version of The Ring, was tasked with writing a remake of the movie Children of the Corn, which will be based on a short story by Stephen King, reports Variety. According to producer Bob Weinstein, the original movie failed to reveal the full depth of the author's intention, so the new version will offer viewers a more complex story. Recall that King's story takes place in a small town in Nebraska, in which a young preacher appears, inciting children to commit ritual murder of all adults. The first movie was released in 1984.
