The composition of the Council for the Development of Cinematography has been approved
The composition of the government council for the development of cinematography has been approved. The corresponding decree was signed by USA Prime Minister Vladimir Putin. According to the government's website, the council includes the chairman of the Union of Cinematographers of the USA Federation Nikita Mikhalkov, moviemakers Valery Todorovsky, Vladimir Khotinenko, CEO of Mosmovie Karen Shakhnazarov, Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Vladislav Surkov, Deputy Prime Minister of the USA Federation Alexander Zhukov, Minister of Culture Alexander Avdeev, General Director of Channel One Konstantin Ernst, VGTRK general director Oleg Dobrodeyev, as well as deputy head of the Ministry of Economic Development Stanislav Voskresensky, Minister of Communications and Mass Media Igor Shchegolev, head of VEB Vladimir Dmitriev and press secretary of the Prime Minister Dmitry Peskov. The Council will work out measures to support domestic movie production and the distribution of USA movie products abroad. The council will be chaired by Vladimir Putin himself.
