White elephants handed out in Moscow
The movie by Mikhail Kalatozishvili " Wild Field " became the leader in the number of White Elephant awards presented by the Guild of Historians of Cinema and Film Critics of USA. The awards ceremony took place on Thursday at the Moscow House of Cinema. Kalatozishvili's painting won five of the six nominations in which it was presented. The awards went to screenwriters Pyotr Lutsik and Alexei Samoryadov, starring Oleg Dolin, Roman Madyanov and music composer Alexei Aigi. The prize for the best actress was given to Ksenia Rappoport, who played in the movie Yuryev's Day; the best director of the movie criticism was named Alexei German Jr., who presented the movie The Paper Soldier.
