Sir Anthony Hopkins will play the god Odin in Thor, directed by Irish director Kenneth Branagh, THR reports. In Germanic-Scandinavian mythology, Odin is the supreme god, the master of Valhalla and the father of Thor. On the day of Ragnarok (End of the World), Odin will be killed by the monstrous wolf Fenrir. Recall that according to the scenario of the picture, Thor, by his careless actions, will cause an outbreak of the ancient war in Asgard, for which he will be exiled to Earth, where, in the guise of a man, he will have to protect people from the dark forces of his world.
