Jeremy Renner to star in Hansel & Gretel
Jeremy Renner will star in Hansel & Gretel: The Witch Hunters. The actor himself spoke about this in an interview with the Norwegian edition of Dagsavisen. The role of Gretel will most likely go to the Swedish actress Noomi Rapace, known for the movie The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. The director of the picture was appointed Tommy Virkola, who was previously noted for the zombie movie Operation Dead Snow. Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters will be a continuation of the famous fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm. In the story, the brother and sister, who almost died in childhood when they met a witch, grew up and became desperate hunters for evil spirits that bred in the surrounding forests.
