Paramount Pictures has acquired the rights to movie a series of short stories by famed science fiction writer Ray Bradbury called The Martian Chronicles. It is reported by The Hollywood Reporter. Who will be the scriptwriter and director of the future movie or movies is still unknown. Formerly The Martian Chronicles were already movieed by NBC in 1979, but the television series did not arouse much interest among viewers and was criticized by the writer himself. Whether Bradbury will participate in the work on the new project is not specified. In August, the last surviving titan of American science fiction will turn 91. Recall that The Martian Chronicles; were published in the mid 50s of the last century. The plot is built around the colonists mastering the Red Planet.
