Hansel and Gretel will go hunting in 2012
Paramount has set a premiere date for Hansel & Gretel: The Witch Hunters, which will offer a fresh take on the popular fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm. According to the resource Deadline, the picture will be released on March 2, 2012. It is also stated that the movie will be shot in 3D. According to the plot of the movie, Hansel and Gretel, who almost died in childhood when they met a witch, grew up and became desperate hunters for evil spirits that bred in the surrounding forests. Jeremy Renner and Gemma Arterton will play the main roles. Famke Janssen will play the role of the evil witch against whom the heroes will fight. Filming will begin in mid-March 2011.
