Hackers brought down the website of the American Filmmakers Association

This past weekend, a group of hackers associated with the resource 4chan brought down the website of the Film Producers Association of America (MPAA). According to JoBlo, as a result of a massive DDoS attack, the association's website was unavailable for 18 hours. Then he resumed working with a different IP address.

According to the participants who wanted to remain anonymous, the attack was a response to the actions of the MPAA itself, which hired AiPlex Software to combat resources containing pirated content.

AiPlex Software's methods of work are very specific and differ from the generally accepted legal methods of fighting pirates. The company is not trying to prevent the illegal distribution of intellectual property by legal means, but is organizing the same DDoS attacks on resources caught in piracy.
