MGM wants to make Chris Pine a Robocop
The MGM movie studio, which has not abandoned its idea to make a remake of Robocop, intends to rely on the young actor. According to the resource Twitchmovie, Chris Pine, familiar to viewers from the movie Star Trek, tops the list of potential candidates for the role of Officer Murphy, turned by the efforts of OCP engineers into a cyborg. The movie will be directed by Brazilian director Jose Padilla. for which this picture will be the debut English-language project. Recall that the original movie was released by Paul Verhoeven in 1987. The main role was played by Peter Weller, who at the time of movieing was ten years older than Chris Pine.
