Review of the movie Agent Johnny English 2: Reloaded. Agent 700

Rowan Atkinson – the actor is without exaggeration a cult. It's no secret that he owes his popularity, first of all, to Mr. Bean, his most popular character. It is also no secret that the manners and behavior of this hero, which won fame among the audience, he safely transfers to his other on-screen images, which is often the key to the success of one or another tape. One of these movies was Johnny English, which introduced the British Austin Powers to the world in 2003. Now, eight years later, the continuation of the James Bond parody is being released.

After the crushing fiasco in Mozambique, which ended in the death of the newly-made President of the country, the demoted Johnny English, burning with shame, retired to Tibet, where he safely moved into a monk in order to come to terms with his own past. However, five years later, the British Homeland again calls him out of oblivion in order to prevent the impending assassination attempt on the Chinese prime minister.

Not very believable, but the movie does not seek to shine with this quality. So our unprepossessing hero, having moved from Aston Martin to Rolls Royce, grabbing an imposed infantile partner (who flashes his iPad with enviable regularity) and armed with enthusiasm again begins to play a spy at the international level.

Even compared to the first part, the amount of satire over spy stamps has increased. In addition to the traditional chase, in which English demonstrates the wonders of self-control and composure, as well as a charming companion (played by one of the `` former '' girls of Bond himself, Rosamund Pike) in the movie there were such lovely things as a high-mountain complex, which is storming a valiant agent, undercover intrigues in which he is directly involved and other assassins with whole arsenals of weapons in vacuum cleaners, golf equipment and just an apron.

All this is traditionally exaggerated and flavored with absurdity, but despite the abundance of both the scenes of action and the actions themselves, the movie, largely due to the behavior of the protagonist, goes on slowly. Johnny English, both the character and the movie, is in no hurry, and although at times he is in a hurry to leave certain tasks unfinished.

In terms of humor, the movie is nothing new, all the same predictable gags, the same funny absurdity, but the point is that thanks to Atkinson all this looks really funny, and some moments even make you laugh to tears. On the other hand, this comedy is strictly an amateur. I’m sure that if you walk through your acquaintances, you will easily pick up a couple of people who almost despise this `` low-standard semi-rubbish humor '' and senseless antics, preferring sparkling dialogues, the classic construction of a joke or even black humor to all this. But tastes, as they say, do not argue, and therefore, in the genre of situational comedy, Atkinson again confirms his talent, remaining one of the best.

Alas, the second part of the tape is missing someone like Pascal Savage from the first picture, played by John Malkovich. The inimitable actor brought to the first `` English '' a ton of charm and skill, noticeably raising the whole movie to the bar higher. For his sake alone, if you are indifferent to Atkinson, you can watch and revise the picture, but, unfortunately, an equally worthy villain in `` Reboot '' It was not.

On the whole, the movie makes a good impression, primarily thanks to the same Atkinson, with all his comicity, creating the most striking image among all other actors, which he faithfully follows to the very end. In addition, the movie itself turned out to be quite intense, the characters do not sit for a long time in one place, and there is a certain intrigue, which once again attracts the eye to the screen.

Without changing the English excerpt, which went through the school of English absurdity, the mirror image of Bond, absurd, grotesque, irrepressible and completely uncontrollable again turns a top-secret operation into a theater of a predominantly one, but very funny actor, and most importantly, he does it skillfully and funny.
